ACA Accredited

More than 300 standards must be passed for a camp to receive accreditation by the American Camping Association. Accredited camps are not just tested once, but every three years! Only 1 camp in 4 earns this mark of health, safety and program quality. Both of the Diocesan Camps are ACA accredited.

About the Staff

* Most of the Staff employed by the Fatima and Bernadette are either teachers or mature high school and college students. While many are from the local area, each year the Camps also hire staff members from other parts of the U.S. and even internationally! Our staff is not only diverse, but each member undergoes a thorough interview, including criminal background check and orientation to Camp life which will prepare them to lead your children through our exciting program.

Ensuring a safe environment for all who work or attend our camps is the highest priority of the staff of Camp Bernadette and Camp Fatima. The safe environment programs at both camps continue to include, among other things, training for staff on sexual abuse awareness and civil authority reporting requirements, background screening for camp personnel, and instruction on standards of behavior for camp personnel.

Further information about the camps' safe environment programs can be found on the Diocese of Manchester website under Child Safety: www.catholicchurchnh.org or can be obtained by calling Michael Drumm, at (603)-364-5851.
